UPDATE—FRAZIER PARK, CA (Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, 5:30 p.m.)—The family of Jukka Hellsten, 42 has been given the sad news that the Finnish man’s body was found this morning in bushes adjacent to Cuddy Creak, just below the Monterey Trail bridge.
Hellsten has been missing since October 24, according to his girlfriend and his sister.

FRAZIER PARK, Calif. (Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, 2:30 p.m.)—The family of Jukka Hellsten is urgently seeking any information that anyone may have on his whereabouts. The unemployed electrical worker was last seen at a Frazier Park residence on San Joaquin Trail Saturday, Oct. 24, according to his sister Mari Hellsten. He had been living there about a year. He left on foot with about six dollars in his pocket and as far as she knows he was generally in good health at the time, other than possible excessive drinking. A missing person report was filed Monday, Oct. 26, according to his sister.
Anyone with information about Hellsten is urged to contact Kern County Sheriff’s Department at 661-245-3440.
