Come help make our mountain sparkle on Tuesday, April 22 with the Frazier Mountain Future Farmers of America. Meet at Falcon Way and Peace Valley Road, 3:30–6 p.m. FFA will host a roadside clean up from Frazier Mountain High School to Gorman Road to celebrate Earth Day.

Peace activist John McConnell introduced the idea of honoring the earth and the concept of peace in 1969. Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970, originating in the U.S., then migrating to 192 other countries. Some communities celebrate Earth Week with an entire week dedicated to environmental issues.

The extended version of this story will be posted soon.
