Fire at Trinity plant in Lockwood Valley causes smoke inhalation

LOCKWOOD VALLEY/FRAZIER PARK, CA (Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016 at 2:35 p.m.)—A man reported by a Trinity employee to have walked onto Trinity’s property saying he was a “journalist,” was not with The Mountain Enterprise. The employee said the man started asking questions, taking pictures and was “getting in the way” of emergency crews. The employee said the man had to be removed from the premises. Rumors claiming that there had been an “explosion” at the plant were untrue, according to the employee.

LOCKWOOD VALLEY/FRAZIER PARK, CA (Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016 at 10:45 a.m.)—Ventura County Fire Department Captain Mike Lindbery began his report about an incident at the Lockwood Valley Trinity plant this morning around 10 a.m. with, “multiple patients with smoke inhalation in or near a mine.” He followed that with, “Fire on conveyer belt in large building. No trapped personnel.” He completed with, “5 patients minor complaints, transported. [Four] refused transport from scene. Conveyer belt fire led to smoke inhalation.” A local Facebook contributor said earlier that there had been an “explosion” at the plant.
