Fire guts house with difficult access, frozen hydrants

Dispatchers sent a small army of firefighting resources to the scene of a house fire in Frazier Park on Friday, Feb. 22 at 9:58 p.m.

Kern County Engines 357, 56, 58, 55 (the large ladder truck from Lebec) and Los Angeles County Engine 77, plus Patrol 77, all converged on a small house at Elliot Trail and…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)

A house on Elliot Trail burned Friday night after two people were seen running from the area, neighbors said.

This obsolete hydrant (lower left) wasn’t working February 22. A fire hose from Engine 56 was pulled a block to reach the fire’s location.
