FMHS cross country team flies into action

In cross country, we run a five kilometer (5K—about 3.25 mile) course laid out by the hosting school.

This course usually is run either within the host school’s campus, around the perimeter of the school in the local community, or, in our case, through the Los Padres National Forest. Sometimes it is set up at an off-site location with enough area to meet the 2.95 – 3.25 mile requirement.

Nigel Sawrey ran in a Frazier Mountain High School Cross Country meet in fall of 2019. The FMHS Cross Country team has made major strides in its standings, including sending one runner to compete at the state level a year ago.
