For some, this will be their first real storm

Many in our community have experienced big storms here on the Mountain and know the drill. Among us are those who lived here before Pine Mountain Club existed, when the “highway” went right through the center of Frazier Park; when you could not go west of Frazier without driving up Mt. Pinos Way past the Tavern, past Frazier Park Market then up and over the hill where Fire Station 57 is now.

Lots of changes since then.

One thing that hasn’t changed…it tends to snow here once in a while.

I mean really snow.

The storm arriving this week is a taste of what it’s supposed to be like here on the Hill. Maybe two feet, maybe three. This one won’t be huge, but it’ll be more than a few inches—it’ll be a little bit of normal.
