LEBEC, CA (Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 at 3:30 p.m.)—An LA County fire engine has reached the scene and is extinguishing the truck fire.

LEBEC, CA (Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 at 3:23 p.m.)—CHP officers have taken the suspect into custody (at about 3:22 p.m.). Kern County sheriff’s deputies are en route to take the suspect into custody for processing in Kern County.

LEBEC, CA (Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 at 3:20 p.m.)—A freeway chase that began in Kern County has ended south of Pyramid Lake. All southbound lanes remain shut down at this time. The big rig tractor (with no trailer) is fully engulfed in flames. The big rig was reported stolen and Kern County Sheriff’s Office pursued the truck south of Gorman where the pursuit was handed over to CHP.
