FMHS Falcon Soccer Wins First State Playoff Match

UPDATE-Lebec, CA (Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 7 p.m.)—They did it! The FMHS Lady Falcon soccer team has won the first round in its CIF State Finals Playoffs tonight—1-0 against Harbor Teacher in the Division V State Championships.

The next game is Thursday at Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth at 6 p.m. Only four teams are left in the Division V Southern California Regional State Playoffs.

If the Falcons win Thursday, they will play for the Southern California Championship. The Southern and Northern California champs then square off for the final CIF State Championship.

Hold that thought. Go Falcons!

UPDATE-Lebec, CA (Monday, March 9, 2015 at 9 p.m.)— The Frazier Mountain High School Lady Falcon soccer team will play at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 10 in the Division V CIF State Playoffs against Harbor Teacher. The match will be held at Carson High School,* located in Carson, near downtown L.A. There are only six (6) teams left in the run to the Division V State Championship. See the matchup info here.

LEBEC, CA (Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 2 p.m.)—The Frazier Mountain High School girls soccer team will be competing in state playoffs on Tuesday.

The Falcons are California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Central Section Division VI Champions. They were scheduled to play the Division V champs on Wednesday (yesterday) for the chance to go to state playoffs. But that game was cancelled and they are now slated to go to state playoffs on Tuesday.
