A lot of fun is always planned for Homecoming Week at Frazier Mountain High School. Festivities for 2013 began Monday, Sept. 23. Each day of the week was a special dress-up day (Sports Day, Spirit Day, Crazy Hair Day, Punk Day, you get the idea…).

Each day at lunch we play games and listen to different genres of music. Each FMHS class is building its own float this week to be paraded between the JV and varsity games on Friday, beginning at about 6 p.m.

On Friday our special Falcons’ Homecoming Rally begins at 12:25 p.m. During the rally we have class competitions, class games, music and three performances by the Falcon Cheerleading Team.

The Freshman, Sophomore and Junior Class Princes and Princesses will be introduced. We will also introduce the volleyball team and football players.

Nominees for FMHS Homecoming King and Queen will also be introduced. The winners will be announced during the varsity game halftime.

JV Falcons will be playing Flintridge Prep at 4 p.m. and Falcon Varsity takes the field at 7 p.m. A before-game tailgate party will be held from 3-5 p.m. Friday. The FMHS Booster Club will sell food, water and softdrinks during both games. Many clubs and classes will be selling specialty items during the games. The FMHS Homecoming Parade will feature the class floats, Falcon Cheerleaders, the Homecoming royalty, local firemen, California Highway Patrol and Kern County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse. The Homecoming Dance is at 9 p.m. We hope the whole town catches the Falcon Spirit and comes out to cheer on our hometown team.
