Good humor, training and hard work make CERT a tight team

It takes a lot of willing hands, hearts and minds—as well as a healthy sense of humor—to run the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for Pine Mountain Club residents. Volunteers met on Saturday, Feb. 26, to elect officers and to designate task force leaders. They also distributed radios to team members, and provided training in radio procedures and operation. Dayne Yancey was excited to announce that a public Community Fire Preparedness Meeting, open to the entire region, is being planned for April 9. Mark your calendars.
