House Fire Reported at Lebec Road and Landfill Road

UPDATE –LEBEC, CA (Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018 at 11:15 a.m.)—The fire dispatch was to 801 Lebec Road, which is the Gentle Jungle complex. At the fire location Paul and Tamara Reynolds, owners of the house, were not injured. There was a painting project underway. It appears part of the exterior of the house had been painted. The fire was, at least in part, on the second story. Firefighters were entering and exiting the second story on the west side of the house. One painter had a burn, possibly on his arm. He was examined by a Hall Ambulance paramedic. It appears the burn was not severe.

UPDATE –LEBEC, CA (Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018 at 11:04 a.m.)—The house fire is above and northwest of the Gentle Jungle compound, less than 1/4 mile west of Chimney Canyon Road. LA County Sheriff’s Deputy Steve Snover was there quickly, he said, when the house was smoking heavily. Neighbors grabbed garden hoses and were able to keep the fire contained. At 11 a.m. Kern County Fire Engines 56 and 57 are on site along with Los Angeles County’s Engine 77. We are checking to see if there were any injuries.

LEBEC, CA (Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.)—A house fire has been reported in Lebec at the corner of Lebec Road and Landfill Road, not far from Mountain Aire Veterinary Hospital. We will provide updates momentarily.
