UPDATE: Frazier Park, Pine Mountain, Neenach, Three Points, CA (Monday, July 17, 2017)—
Susan Zahnter of the Western Antelope Valley sends this note to the Mountain Communities: It would be very helpful for individuals to request an extension for an additional 30 to 90 days for comments about the Centennial DEIR. I have provided a comment below that you can copy and paste into your own email.

Subject: Extension of Centennial DEIR deadline
Dear Mr. Sackett and Mr. Dea,
I am requesting the extension of the Centennial Draft Environmental Review for an additional 30 days. The document is 2,000 pages long and the public needs more time to make comments, since this project will pose longterm significant impacts to our rural community, and across the Antelope Valley and Mountain Communities.
Sincerely,
Your Name Here
Dear Neighbors and Friends,
I have received several comments regarding the response period for the Centennial Draft Environmental Impact Review.
The July 17 deadline is here. Our council is preparing to send a request for a 30 day extension. Some have not received timely notice, and others are having difficulty downloading large files. The document is 2,000 pages, and even though 60 days were allowed for comment, we do not find this is enough time, especially when many who wish to review the DEIR have full-time jobs, long commutes and important personal commitments plus this volunteer effort.
Susan Zahnter of the Three Points-Liebre Mountain Town Council in the Western Antelope Valley.
