In like a lamb…out like a lion?

By Patric Hedlund
Somehow, it appears that March didn’t get the memo…or perhaps the memo got reversed.

March began with balmy weather, bright skies and cheerful sunshine. We’d entered springtime sandal weather. Trees began to bloom. Birds began making nesting sounds. Then, suddenly, on the stroke of the spring equinox, the skies unloaded with the wettest, heaviest, most saturated snow this region has seen for at least six years— maybe fifteen.

“It will be good for the water table," those with lights and heat will say.

Others just look up and shiver.
