Lebec, CA (Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1 p.m.)—Urgent Parent Internet Safety Training
Parents, do you know:
•What specific steps are taken by online predators to lure vulnerable young people?
•What may be the legal and emotional ramifications of sharing photos, texts and videos online?
•What are ways to shut down a cyberbully?
•What is your responsibility when it comes to reporting such activity?

Come learn all this and more, to help keep your children safe online. The Parent Internet Safety Training takes place at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the El Tejon Middle School gym (4337 Lebec Road, Lebec). It will be conducted by the same Kern County Sheriff’s Office experts who gave a training to the El Tejon students in October.

This training is open to all community parents—from other schools, homeschoolers, everybody.
Due to sensitive subject matter, please do not bring small children. Limited childcare will be available at the school.

This is part of the November 8, 2019 online edition of The Mountain Enterprise.
