A Job Fest for the Mountain Communities, Lamont and Arvin is set for March 13 in Lamont. Job interviews and job search assistance will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon.

“Dress professionally, wear comfortable shoes and bring 20 copies of your polished resumé,” advised coordinator Heidi Carter Escudero.

She said the current unemployment rates in this area are: Lebec (zip code 93243), 4.9%; Frazier Park (93225), 9.4%; and Pine Mountain (93222), 11.5%.

To attend the Job Fest in Lamont, take northbound Interstate 5 to exit 13 east on Bear Mountain Boulevard, then north on CA-184 to Lamont. The David Head Center is at 10300 San Diego Street, Lamont.
