It’s Homecoming week at Frazier Mountain High School and that means each day has a theme.
The banners at right were strung across the walls of the cafetorium. It was Mustache Monday, Teacher Twin Tuesday (dress like your favorite teacher), Wear Pink on Wednesday, Thrift Store Thursday (wear your grandad’s clothes) and Falcon Friday, when seniors wear big blue, juniors wear white, sophomore class wears grey, freshmen wear black and the staff wears gold.

Everything leads up to the Homecoming football game Friday night at Falcon Field and the Homecoming Dance after the game (to 11 p.m.) “at the Capitol” as the banner has announced inside the cafetorium all week. The “Capitol” refers to the seat of government in the movie series The Hunger Games.

El Tejon Unified School District’s chef, Robert Sanchez, has planned a Hunger Games themed “Victor’s Feast” for Friday, Oct. 10 and themed lunches this week, like “Grill on Fire” roast chicken and a make-believe squirrel stew (turkey and gravy). The games start with JV at 4 p.m., a parade and varsity game at 7 p.m.
