Grab your flag, trusty steed or tennis shoes, and come be part of the Ride (walk) to Remember. • Riders meet at Brennan’s Dream Weaver Ranch in Cuddy Valley (661.623.0356) at 3 p.m. • Walkers meet at the Piñon Pines mailboxes at 4 p.m. • Spectators are welcome to park along Cuddy Valley Road and wave. Bring your Red, White and Blue! This is the 15th year of this observance.

Whether on horseback or on foot, or just waving flags as the riders pass by—everyone is invited to join in this Mountain Community tradition of remembrance for the 2,996 who lost their lives September 11, 2001 when four planes were crashed by terrorists into New York City’s Twin Towers, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania. To watch: follow Frazier Mountain Park Road to Cuddy Valley Road, across from the Piñon Pines mailboxes.

This is part of the September 9, 2016 online edition of The Mountain Enterprise.
