Kern County Board of Supervisors Votes to Add Day to Library Schedule

FRAZIER PARK, CA— On Tuesday, Aug. 27 the Kern County Board of Supervisors voted to add over $500,000 to the new budget to add a day of service to all the libraries in Kern County.  Frazier Park Branch Library Supervisor Marie Smith said, “it is exciting, but we don’t have the new schedule yet.” Smith said she expects the added day of service here will be Friday, “so then the staff can still have a two day weekend.”

The Frazier Park Library is currently open four days, Tuesday, Wed., Thursday and Saturday. The change will make the schedule Tuesday-Saturday.   Smith said she anticipates the new schedule will begin in about a month. Watch the pages of The Mountain Enterprise newspaper for more details.
