Kern County Bomb Squad Goes to Lebec

UPDATE—LEBEC, CA (Thursday, Jan. 1 at 4:16 a.m.)—This dispatch was received from the Kern County Sheriff’s office at 415 a.m.:  On December 31, 2014  at about 11:30 PM Frazier Park deputies were dispatched to the 2800 block of Highland Way in Lebec for the report of a fire. Deputies learned through their investigation someone is suspected of setting off a destructive device in the victim’s front yard. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad responded and checked for other devices. None were located, investigation is ongoing. SR15-00002  Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (661) 861-3110, Secret Witness at (661) 322-4040 or Anonymous “text” tips can be sent to TIP411 (847411).  Just type the key word “KCSO” prior to the message.
