Kern County fire chief retiring to take top state job

A hasty press conference in Bakersfield on Friday, Dec. 21 confirmed that Kern County Fire Chief Brian Marshall has submitted a letter to the Kern County Board of Supervisors to say he will be retiring from KCFD in January 2019 after 32 years of service to the county.
