NEENACH, CA (Sunday, April 3, 2011 at 1:05 p.m.)–Los Angeles County investigators searched an area in Neenach yesterday for clues in the disappearance of Dennis Dobrovolny, 54 of Three Points.
Dobrovolny was last seen in the early morning hours of February 7, after a Superbowl party in Three Points the night before.
Neighbors in the area of Three Points Road near Avenue B said there were more than a dozen police personnel on foot and horseback, with dogs and a helicopter overhead, searching a field about one mile north of Highway 138, Saturday morning.
According to Los Angeles County Coroner’s Investigator Lt. Cheryl MacWillie, Dobrovolny was not found after search crews scoured the area.
"We were hoping we would find him," MacWillie said today. When a reporter for The Mountain Enterprise suggested Dobrovolny may have gone on vacation, MacWillie responded, "I don’t think so."
Anyone with information about the disappearance of Dennis Dobrovolny is asked to contact Sheriff’s Homicide Detective David Gunner at 323-890-5500. Gunner says anonymity can be maintained. The Mountain Enterprise accepts news tips at 661-245-NEWS and www.245NEWS.com.
