Lebec man arrested for murder in double tragedy

Two families are in mourning after a double tragedy has taken the life a 24 year old man. The man who allegedly shot him in the head with a shotgun, Steve Gilmore, 58 of Lebec, is in the Kern County Sheriff’s Lerdo facility, charged with first degree murder. Bail was set at $1 million at a hearing on Monday, Dec. 21.
