Within the past three months, we have lost two respected friends. Gabe Gonzales and Gil Valenzuela both gave generously from their hearts to these Mountain Communities and to our community’s children. Both lost their lives to covid-19—with their own young children left behind, mourning the loss of their dads.

Local families are at risk in what has become a pandemic of the unvaccinated
Across America, local news editor colleagues are seeing the same tragic and preventable deaths from covid-19 as we have recently seen here. Associated Press has stepped up to offer a rigorous examination of election fraud allegations. We publish that this week in hope it may be a first step to re-open the local conversation about making wise medical choices disconnected from politics.
