At about 4:45 Monday morning on January 20, I heard what I thought were gunshots. I stepped outside to discover a fire, presumably a house, burning on the next block here in Los Padres Estates. The flames were rising in the darkness and the hill behind the fire was glowing in its light.

I immediately called 911 and advised them that the fire was on the street north of mine. Because I felt most people would be asleep and unaware of the danger…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
