"A blind survey of about 20 vendors said that this was the busiest and best Lilac Festival ever," coordinator Mark Bailey reported, "The words ‘a really cool vibe’ were mentioned a lot through the weekend."

The event brought in thousands of spectators, and the return of skydivers was enjoyed by all, Bailey said.

The king and queen for the parade were James Young and Valerie Rosen.
