Local residents and organizations march in joyful Fiesta Days parade

On Saturday, August 6, the Dale Hansen & Ed Perine Memorial Parade took place at Fiesta Days. The parade started on Mount Pinos Way and continued to the festival site at Frazier Mountain Park. Attendees lined the streets to watch the dozens of entries march along, setting the tone for a weekend of good times.

The Bakersfield Young Marines Color Guard led the parade through the community. When they made the turn from Mount Pinos toward the park, they stopped and saluted the flag while a spirited version of the Star Spangled Banner was sung by Stacy Dollar.

Many young people were represented in the parade. The Frazier Mountain High School football team participated, as did the cheerleaders. In the Wings Studio of Dance made their presence felt with an upbeat and fun dance break in the middle of the parade. There was even…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
