This pond is your pond – this pond is my pond
From the eastern sunrise – to the western sunset
From the I-5 Grapevine to Lockwood Valley
This pond was made for you and me

As I went walking around our park here
I saw generations fishing with cheer
I heard the quacking of ducks in the water
This pond was made for you and me

This pond is your pond….

And then the drought came – our pond lost water
We still don’t know what was the garroter
We had some fish thanks to Stan McCuen
This pond was for you and me

So now in honor – shaded by oak trees
We stand together like Hippocrates
We’ll heal our pond and all life it give us
This pond was made for you and me
This pond was made for you and me

This pond is your pond ….
