Major updates from Sheriff’s Office at “Bridging the Gap” meeting

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) hosted their third “Coffee with a Cop” meeting with the Mountain Communities at Caveman Cavey’s on Wednesday, February 26. The first meeting was roughly one year ago, with a goal to “bridge the gap” between law enforcement and the community. As Sergeant Salvador Orona put it, “we are trying to build a stronger community,” and to urge people to “make that [9-1-1] call when something comes up… If we don’t know about the issue, we can’t address it.” Public Information Officer (PIO) Lori Meza said, “It is their job to answer the call and it is your job to call. That needs to happen.”
