Making lemonade — A young girl works to make sense of her dad’s terminal illness

“Mommy, I want to do a lemonade stand for dad.”

“OK, honey; that sounds good.”

“Mommy, can you call Falcon’s Nest for me?”

“Honey, you usually do those on street corners….”

That’s how the conversation about a lemonade stand began between 8-year-old Abigail Robbins and her mom, Sarah.

Sarah Robbins called the restaurant to ask if Abigail could set up a lemonade…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
