Marijuana fields located above Lake of the Woods

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Friday, July 26 at 2:10 p.m.)—It was near the beginning of May this year when growers began cultivating four separate plots of marijuana seedlings above Lake of the Woods, investigators were speculating this week. The Mountain Enterprise has discovered that the likely location was up in the Tecuya Ridge area, above Lake of the Woods in Black Bob Canyon, according to information obtained from a leader of the Kern County Sheriff’s Major Violators Unit with KCSO’s Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP). He said about 9,800 plants were destroyed this week. Kern County Fire Department’s helicopter crews and the U.S. Forest Service were partners in the effort. Investigators are examining evidence gathered at the scene to help locate suspects. The estimated value of the grow field was ……
