Medevac Helicopter at High School Cancelled

UPDATE—LEBEC (Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 at 6:30 a.m.)—The medevac helicopter has been cancelled. According to FMHS student Joey Teare, a California City junior varsity boys basketball player hurt his knee, possibly dislocating it, during the game. Teare said he was there when the injury occurred.Two California Ciity student were transported by Hall Ambulance Service for medical attention. The second student suffered an unspecified allergic reaction.

LEBEC (Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 at 5:40 p.m.)—A medevac helicopter has been called to take a person injured in a "fall accident" from Frazier Mountain High School. The helicopter was first to land at the Lebec Kern County Fire Station 56 but has been rerouted to land at El Tejon School according to radio transmissions. The patient will be shuttled by ground ambulance from the high school to the middle school. The Mountain Enterprise will provide more information as soon as it is available. It is unknown at this time why the helicopter was unable to land closer to the high school itself.
