INCIDENT CLOSED: Most of Mt. Pinos Way in business district to close Saturday night

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020 at 12:20 p.m.)—Most of Mt. Pinos Way in Frazier Park’s business district will be closed Saturday night, Dec. 5 to Sunday morning, Dec. 6 for utility work. Kern County Roads Department’s alert was incomplete and did not include about half of the closure. The correct closure zone is as follows, based on signs currently placed along the roadway:

Two sections of the roadway will be closed.

Mt. Pinos Way, between Harriet Road and San Carlos Trail, will be closed from 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5 to 7 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 6.

Mt. Pinos Way, between Los Padres Drive and Canada Trail, will be closed during the same time period.

This leaves a short section of Mt. Pinos Way open between San Carlos Trail and Los Padres Drive, possibly for truck drivers to make night or early morning deliveries to Ace Hardware via Los Padres Drive.

Additionally, many parking zones along Mt. Pinos Way will be closed to vehicles beginning Friday at 8 a.m.
