Mountain Neighbors Join the Conversation

Who are these masked demonstrators on a street corner, waving signs at the people driving by? And why are some passersby feeling so much anger?

Kerry Keiser wrote an angry letter to The Mountain Enterprise last week. He has lived in Frazier Park for 12 years. “I love it here,” he said Sunday, June 21, when we talked about his letter. It was intentionally insulting to the demonstrators who have been gathering in Lebec this month at the corner of Frazier Mountain Park Road, across from the Flying J travel center.

Keiser is a neighbor who has often been a voice of logic and reason. We decided to introduce him and our readers to some of these demonstrators, to learn who they are and ask them to tell why…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
