June 28 started off simply enough, just as any other day. The day before, I had pro actively cleaned out the fridge. My husband did his part and promptly delivered it all to the dump in preparation for our off the hill grocery run the following day.

We have lived near San Carlos Trail for nearly 7 years and had never seen a bear in our area until a few weeks before that day. …(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
