New KCSO substation sergeant meets with community residents

About a year after taking the position, Sergeant Orona of the Frazier Park Substation has moved on, and a familiar face has stepped in to fill the role. On Thursday, October 2, the Mountain Communities Chamber of Commerce hosted the latest “Bridging the Gap” meeting between the residents of greater Frazier Park and the sheriff’s office. New Sergeant Rogelio Medina spoke about his return and his plans for the substation’s future.

When Sergeant Medina first served in the mountain communities as a deputy in 2013, he was struck by the scenery and the community spirit. “I love this place,” Medina said at Thursday’s meeting. “I was talking with my wife today about how beautiful it is up here.”
