Tuesday, Aug. 12, 10:20 a.m.: The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has announced it will close northbound I-5 lanes near the Grapevine to perform roadway repairs from Tuesday, Aug. 12 through Friday, Aug. 15.

Two to three lanes of northbound I-5 will be closed from Vista Del Lago to Quail Lake Road nightly, from 5 p.m. to 11 a.m.  One to two northbound lanes will remain open to motorists.

These lane closures are weather-permitting and subject to change. Signs will be posted to assist motorists.

Caltrans reminds motorists to "slow for the cone zone." Traffic fines are doubled in freeway work zones.
