Update on Pine Mountain Club’s Phase I and II construction plans, progress

“We will not have a pool this season,” reported Pine Mountain Club POA General Manager Karin Shulman in a May 20 email update.

Shulman said that despite hopes for a pool this year, many delays have prevented it. Bid proposal requests was a lengthy process, she says, followed by the board voting on which contractor would win the bid. Several months of back-and-forth contract negotiations followed by the covid-19 shutdown, with all permitting processes being done through mail and email, resulted in delays.

In the meantime, reported Shulman, “there were soil samples, engineering, septic tank testing and so on, which has taken some time.

“So while you may not have witnessed the pre-work, it started last year,” she assured.
