Pine Mountain will host its 32nd annual Oktoberfest this weekend, Sept. 1-2. "It’s a great way to end the summer," said Bob Alvares, Chairman of the Pine Mountain Club Recreation Committee.

The festivities begin at 11:00 a.m. each day in Pine Mountain’s Lampkin Park, with entertainment and activities to please the entire family, including German music, dance music, a variety of art and craft vendors, plenty of food, drink and games for all ages. The public is invited to participate in all events.

For the kids, giant inflatables, craft activities, face-painting and air brush tattoos will also be available. Great food, from German delicacies by the PMC Bistro on the Greens to succulent sausages, Mexican, Thai/Chinese, barbecued tri-tip and a beer and wine garden offer something for everyone.

There are sack races, log-sawing and nail-driving contests, great door and raffle prizes and much more. Admission is a very affordable $5 for two days or $4 for one day. Children under 16 are free. No coolers or outside food or beverages will be permitted.

Additional information is available from the PMC office at (661) 242-3788.
