Businesses forced to close in Lebec, but neighbors jump to aid

The contractor who is building a new Western Propane facility on Landfill Road in Lebec placed an emergency call to the Lebec County Water District (LCWD) Tueday, Jan. 29 at about 12:10 p.m. to report that Pacific Gas & Electric equipment had just broken a water main. PG&E spokesperson Katie Allen confirmed to The Mountain Enterprise that “our workers made contact with the water line” on that date.
