Pilot-Flying J Rebuild Has Started–Facility Closed for Construction

LEBEC, CA (July 27, 2018 at 12:40 p.m.)—A Lebec resident talked with a worker this morning, who said that “tear down” was beginning at the Pilot-Flying J site, and that the plan is to “reopen in December.” This timeline has not been confirmed with the corporate office in Tennessee yet, but it is consistent with what employees were being told this year.

LEBEC, CA (July 26, 2018 at 9 a.m.)—The Pilot-Flying J in Lebec has been promising to rebuild the facility at this location for three years. Now the process is beginning. It is likely, according to sources, that all business activity will be suspended while an accelerated building program gets underway. Estimates for completing the rebuild have been surprisingly speedy, within less than a year.
