Pioneer Day Peddlers Faire Will Rock Saturday, Oct. 6

Fire on the Mountain to Perform

Imagine walking back into time, surrounded by artifacts from bygone ages, a flea market from 50 to 150 years ago rich with antiques and collectibles.

Imagine entering a festival of fun, dancing, music, homemade ice cream, old time radio drama and delicious food.

This weekend, the Ridge Route Communities Museum Peddlers Faire will be held at the Frazier Mountain Park Community Center. It is the central fundraiser for the Ridge Route Museum, and the biggest party of the year for this very active group.

The Faire will feature sellers from throughout the state. In addition there will be displays and entertainment, along with activities for the children.

Food and treats will be available—lunch, popcorn, baked goods, homemade ice cream and cold drinks. There will be tables and chairs set up to enjoy the entertainment, to visit and enjoy friends.

This type of fun event is new for this area. Most sellers are from antique shops and will bring selected items from their stock to sell. We are guaranteed a wide variety of goods-something for everyone.

Items to be sold meet the criteria as antiques or collectibles more than 50 years old. Call Daisy Cuddy at 245-2339 or Eloise Richer at 245-1789 for more information.

Pioneer Day Peddler’s Faire will be a fun day for visitors, shoppers and vendors alike, with these attractions:

  • 10 a.m. Bake Sale, Peddler’s Booths open
  • 10 – 11 a.m. Mountain Squares Square Dance demo
  • 11 a.m. Fire on the Mountain performs, Lunch and Ice Cream served
  • 1 p.m. Old Time Radio Show, Featuring The Perils of Prunella Pinking Shears

Vintage Motorcycle Rally

Outside, the Frazier Park Festival of Vintage Motorcycles will be in full swing. This year, the festival has been expanded into a National Rally.

Events will include a vintage motorcycle show, dual sport ride, Frazier Park 100 Rally, Mount Pinos Endurance Rally and the Quatal Canyon Motorcycle Swap Meet.

The motorcycle show and swap meet are sponsored by the Antique Motorcycle Club of America. The show will be judged by AMCA standards and have classes open for all bikes older than 25 years old.

The show and meet will open to the public at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 with a show award ceremony culminating at 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon hosts the Mt. Pinos Endurance Rally. Sunday morning the Tecuya Dual Sport Ride and Frazier Park 100 Rally begin
