Pine Mountain Club, CA (Saturday, Jan.1, 2022)—What would the first day of the year be without a little excitement? The chatter on scanners about a fire in Pine Mountain Club this evening was an oven that got very hot and would not turn off in a home in the vicinity of Acacia Way.
Captain Knaggs of Station #58 explained that there was a concern about the oven possibly being a fire danger. Firefighters helped turn the oven off, and voila! By 7:22 p.m. the excitement is over. Everyone is safe. We have survived the first day of the year without disaster or mayhem. Enjoy this beautiful New Year. Thank you to our first responders.
And thank you to the concerned residents for being vigilant and calling for assistance to prevent a problem. We just hope your first dinner of the New Year was delicious and not too crisp around the edges.
Happy New Year, all!
