Politics begin knocking: Absentee ballots in mailboxes this week

Check your mailbox. Amid all the expensive political flyers from insurance companies telling you not to vote ‘Yes’ on Prop. 45 (so the evil California insurance commissioner cannot review insurance company rate hikes), you are likely to find your absentee ballot, if you signed up to vote by mail. Next week we will carry a forum for El Tejon Unified School Board candidates. Watch for that to help you decide how to vote.

Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 4. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
