That was probably the best prom fashion show I’ve ever seen, because the setup was amazing,” said student Josh Arreola. May 6 is the big day, but on April 15 the Frazier Mountain High School prom fashion show previewed the splendor ahead.

The “Masquerade” prom is to be held at the Sheraton Universal in Los Angeles. To give a hint of what it will be like, FMHS Junior Class Associated Student Body officers transformed the gym into a perfect setting with elegant decorations and a stage.

“Prom is going to be awesome this year and we hope everyone goes because the junior class has worked really hard.” said Junior Jessica Albadawi.

The prom is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors. Tickets are $75, which includes the DJ, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and a souvenir.

About 20 students participated in the fashion show. The Junior Class ASB appreciates the help of David’s Bridals and Men’s Warehouse. Dragonfly’s Garden supplied boutonnieres and corsages for king and queen nominees, plus a gift of beautiful daisies for students (while supplies lasted) along with a coupon for 10 percent-off on all prom orders.

This is part of the April 22, 2011 online edition of The Mountain Enterprise.
