Pine Mountain Club, CA (Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021)—The reading in a home analog rain gauge at 6,000 feet in Pine Mountain Club indicates that 1.74 inches of precipitation saturated our hillsides and forest on the evening of Monday, Dec. 13 and through the day of Dec. 14. It came along with high winds in the form of rain on Monday and snow on Tuesday as the temperaature fell. At 6,000 feet, the snow level was about 4 inches deep, but it covered the hillsides in a luxurious blanket of white.
