The longtime PMC resident wore a mask Tuesday, Nov. 3 while working at the polling place in the Pine Mountain Christian Community Church Annex.

The individual, who wishes to remain anonymous, also wished to  share all available information. Coughing began on Friday, Nov. 6.

Incubation time for the virus is typically 3 to 14 days. Symptoms typically arise within four to five days after exposure. A person may be contagious two to three days prior to showing symptoms, according to Harvard Medical Center’s Covid-19 Resource Center.

What is the best advice to anyone who feels they may have been exposed? Relax and go get tested. Alert those with whom you have come into contact and suggest they go for tests also. Wear a mask. Wash your hands frequently. Stay isolated until you have your test results back.
