On September 11, 2001 John Fuess rode his horse through Cuddy Valley, carrying an American flag. The following year, the first daughter of Cuddy Valley’s Brennan family (of Dreamweaver Ranch) adopted the Ride to Remember with friends and neighbors who rode horses along Frazier Mountain Park Road carrying flags.

“Those who perished in the attacks on the Twin Towers on 9/11 will not be forgotten,” was their message.

There has been a “Remember” event every year after. Even when Emily married and moved away, the family kept the tradition going. Now Emily is back. Last year she and friends walked with ponies, and this year riders and walkers will join together.

Riders are invited to leave Dreamweaver Ranch (661.623.0356) at 3 p.m. Walkers will meet them at the Piñon Pines mailboxes at 3:30 p.m. Don your patriotic colors, bring your flags and kids and join in the parade…to remember.
