With no advance notice, a press conference was announced last night by Congressman Kevin McCarthy (R-Bakersfield) about the subject. McCarthy represents the Western Antelope Valley. Bakersfield, CA – Congressman Kevin McCarthy will join Bakersfield Postmaster Lynda LaForce and postal service inspector’s Jeff Fitch and Bill Zembridge for a press conference to talk about the steps that are being taken to combat mailbox destruction and mail fraud. Also discussed will be what is being done to support those who have been impacted by this disturbing trend.
