Science Saturday at the library explores mysteries

Curious? Here’s a fun way to scratch that itch

Science Saturday at the Frazier Park Library resumes for the new year. Professor Cliff Brunk invites enquiring minds to join him in a series of lab demonstrations and discussions about mysteries of the world that will be a treat for curious children of all ages.

What makes magnets work? How do electric motors run? What does the world look like through a microscope? What kind of tiny creatures live in Frazier Mountain Park’s fishing pond? How does the sun warm the Earth? How do radio signals travel around the planet?

The next Science Saturday is this week, January 23 at 10 a.m.

“Just bring your healthy curiosity,” Professor Brunk says on his invitation, “I will bring fun demonstrations that we can discuss.”

He said everyone is welcome to participate and to ask questions: “We will talk about whatever the kids who attend are finding fascinating. There is no limit to the topics we can explore.”

The upcoming week’s topic will be posted at the library the week before each ‘Science Saturday’ discussion.

For Saturday, Jan. 23 the topic is ‘Magnets’ Unseen Attraction.’ See you Saturday.
