An overheated vehicle traveling north on Interstate 5 burst into flames south of Grapevine Road about 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 27.

The fire quickly spread to a grassy hillside, racing south onto Tejon Ranch. Within a few hours the Shell fire was approaching the Fort Tejon overpass. I-5 traffic was backed up south of…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
